Rhonda Akers has lived in the Town of Capitol Heights for 34 years. She has an extensive amount of community involvement in the Town to include Voluntary EMT-Capitol Heights Fire Department, PTA president - Capitol Heights Elementary School, and the Board of Elections. As a member of the Capitol Heights Town Council, her vision is to organize and support: Community and residential issues; Economic Development; More Youth Activities; Improving housing for Senior Citizens, and Grants for small businesses.
Neighborhood Services Committee (NSSC)
The NSSC with engaged citizens will work to solve issues and to make our community great! The goal of the NSSC is to sponsor and develop programs that seek to prevent crime and beautification our Town. This makes our community the best place to live, work and play!
Our mission is to Encourage, Educate and Support our citizens in the Town of Capitol Heights to participate and get involved with the Safety, Neighborhood Service, and Property Standards departments in our community, working closely with the Police Chief and NSD Director...VOLUNTEERS are WELCOME...with your suggestions and ideas, we can make it work for our town.
